Everything You Need to Know About BYU–Idaho’s Summer Session

BYU-Idaho is built around a three-track academic system: Fall-Winter, Winter-Spring, and Spring-Fall. When a student is accepted, they are also assigned a track for two full-length semesters. Their left-out semester is considered a flex semester.

Summer session occurs between the spring and fall semesters. It's a condensed seven-week term, which offers accelerated courses for those looking to get ahead or make progress during summer.

Who Can Attend BYU-I Summer Session

Any student currently enrolled at BYU-Idaho can attend the short summer semester. New students who are scheduled to start for the fall or winter semesters must contact BYU-Idaho to get permission to enroll in classes during the summer.

4 Reasons to Enroll in BYU-I's Summer Session

If you're thinking about taking classes during the summer, but aren't sure if it's a good decision, here are four reasons this might be the right choice for you.
